-

-
What results can I expect after one cycle?
After one cycle (typically 10–20 weeks), most students noticeably improve their speaking confidence, listening comprehension, and ability to interact in real-life situations in Dutch.
Rather than only memorising grammar rules, our students learn to actively use Dutch in conversations related to work and daily life. If there are specific needs, we tailor our course accordingly.
Many learners progress one CEFR sublevel (for example A2 to B1) depending on attendance, self-study, and exposure to Dutch outside the classroom. Because our method combines structured input, guided conversation, and flexible learning paths, students often report faster practical progress compared to traditional grammar-heavy courses. Grammar is important, but it’s not a goal on its own.
Teachers & Method

Our teaching team consists of both native and highly proficient Dutch speakers from Belgium and the Netherlands. We deliberately work with a diverse staff, as this allows us to better match each student’s needs, cultural background, learning goals, and professional context.
-
Are your teachers certified?
Yes. Our teachers are qualified and experienced Dutch language professionals with a strong background in teaching Dutch as a second language (NT2) and adult education.
We carefully select our teachers based on their teaching expertise, communication skills, and ability to guide highly motivated adult learners and international professionals.
Beyond formal qualifications, our teachers are trained in communicative and input-based teaching approaches, focusing on real-life language use rather than purely theoretical grammar, following the latest pedagogical insights. They have experience working with expats, employees, and multilingual learners who need functional Dutch for workplace integration and daily life in Belgium.
-
What makes Lingua Dutch different from other schools?
We work in both, with a strong focus on speaking and real communication.
We believe grammar should support communication, not block it.
Students are exposed to structured grammar in context (through texts, listening input, and guided exercises), and then immediately apply it in conversation tasks.
This balanced approach helps learners build accuracy, fluency, and confidence at the same time, which is essential for workplace integration and daily life in Belgium.
